Seat Cushions
Stanton warrants the seat cushions against the loss of foam resiliency as long as you, the original purchaser owns the product. Please do not confuse loss of foam resiliency with softening. Cushions will soften through normal use and conform to the user's shape. This is normal and is not considered a defect. Collapsing is defined as a foam core losing more than 1" of its original specified height. The reduction in height is measured for the core only and does not include any Dacron wrap or feather jacket loss of height. Collapsing typically will be noticed within the first year. Stanton has no responsibility for labor to replace or fill cushions covers or cores. Stanton warrants feathers for three (3) years from the date of purchase.
Limited Warranty
Fabric/Leather
Stanton warrants fabrics to you, the original purchaser, for a period of one year against seam slippage, seam failure, or fabric separation. Excluded in this warranty are customer owned material, fading, stretching, dye lot variation, pilling*, pet use and heavy soiling, dye transfers, damages resulting from any liquid, or damage from household heat or humidity. Any after-market stain treatment applied to the fabric voids the warranty.
*Pilling and some fuzzing is NOT considered a defect but rather the normal and inevitable progression of wear in many it not all woven fabrics. If this characteristic is unacceptable to you, the consumer, then you should consider a non-woven velvet or knit fabric and NOT a woven fabric. Some velvets and high pile chenille's, due to the nature of their construction, will appear to mark or crush. This is considered a normal characteristic and not a defect.
It's important to note that while our fabrics can be effectively cleaned, they are not inherently stain-resistant. This means that although you can remove most stains with proper cleaning techniques, the fabrics do not have built-in properties that prevent stains from setting. We recommend prompt cleaning of any spills or stains to maintain the appearance and longevity of the fabric.
When you clean a fabric frequently, you are also gradually removing the stain-repellent treatment that was originally applied to it. This stain repellent helps prevent spills and dirt from penetrating the fabric fibers, making it easier to clean. Over time, as this repellent wears off due to repeated cleaning, the fabric loses its ability to resist stains effectively. As a result, future spills and stains may become harder to clean, and the fabric may become more susceptible to permanent staining. Therefore, while it's important to keep your fabric clean, it's also crucial to be mindful of the cleaning methods and products you use to help maintain its stain resistance.
*Leather is a natural product, and, as such, no two hides are alike and each hide will reflect its own individuality. Some variations such as shade and tone are to be expected. Other natural leather characteristics such as healed scars, stretch marks, nicks, scratches, wrinkles, and pore patterns (grain) only occur in genuine leather and in no way should these characteristics be considered a defect.
Sleeper Bed Mattresses and Mechanisms
Stanton Sofas warrants all sleeper mattress and mechanisms from defects in materials and workmanship as follows: Gel Mattress & Mechanism - 10 Years.
Mattresses will soften with normal use and this is not considered a manufacturing defect. Improper handling, care or abuse of the sleeper mechanism will void the warranty. Never close the mechanism with sheets and/or blankets on the mattress. Improperly opening or closing a sleeper and/or sitting on the end will result in damage and is not covered under this warranty.
